SF Ballet Nutcracker Prince Paper Doll

We thought your Clara paper doll might be feeling a little lonely without her Prince, so here he is!

When Helgi Tomasson decided to create a new Nutcracker for San Francisco Ballet in 2004, he turned to Martin Pakledinaz, a frequent collaborator and close friend, to design the costumes. In 2017, SF Ballet graphic designer Francis Zhou sketched paper dolls based on Pakledinaz’s designs.

After his battle with the King of the Mice, the Nutcracker is transformed into the dashing Prince.

The Prince’s final costume is a dazzling gold jacket that he wears when Clara is transformed into an adult to dance with him.
